Referred to by some as “the most powerful 2-in-1 laptop in the world”, this device offers just about anything you could want from a laptop. There are 4 “modes” that the device can contour to: Laptop Mode, Tablet Mode, Studio Mode, or View Mode. Thanks to the processor within the Surface Book 2, Microsoft claims that you can run professional-grade software all day long on this laptop. If you choose a model with a graphics card, you will be able to do things such as video editing or gaming, if desired. This laptop is available in 13-inch or 15-inch, and the larger your device, the more powerful it comes. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is available starting at $1,199.

Apple MacBook Pro

In the world of premium laptops, it does not get much better than the newest MacBook Pro. While it certainly would not be called “affordable”, MacBooks are always top of the line devices and the newest addition to this line is no different. Available in 13-inch and 15-inch, it includes a thin OLED display right above the keyboard called the “Touch Bar”, which replaces the function keys and changes in each program that you are using to allow for varied functionality. Also, the Touch Bar allows you to can unlock the laptop with your finger print using Touch ID. If you are in the fields of coding, editing, or design, not only can the MacBook handle the different programs that you need, but there is likely not a better choice on the market to fit your needs (except possibly the Surface Book 2 above).
