The Best Way to Carry the Google Pixel 6

The Best Way to Carry the Google Pixel 6

Published by Maaz at Turtleback on Jan 28th 2022

Bigger, better, and smarter. That’s what Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 pro are. In fact, Tech Radar ranks them as the top two best Google Pixel phones right now!

Mostly, a new phone is only incrementally different from the prior one. Take the example of iPhone. It’s hardly any different than the previous one. But the new Pixel line is bit more new than the typical phone. Along with new cameras, new materials, new hardware, new software, they also come with new thoughts on what a smartphone should be able to do for you.

But like other smartphones, they need to be protected. But more on that later. First, let’s discuss their good and bad qualities.

The Good and the Bad of Google’s New Smartphones

Both phones have fast refresh rates — 90Hz on the Pixel 6, up to 120Hz on the 6 Pro — which make scrolling and interactions very smooth. Both phones also bring big batteries and big battery life to cruise through a full day of use. Google has finally upgraded the camera hardware in the Pixel line for the first time since 2017, and it’s gone big — literally.

Google Pixel 6 Pro

  1. Good Stuff

  • Snappy performance
  • Smooth screen
  • Great battery life
  • Excellent camera
  • Good value
  1. Bad Stuff

  • Big and unwieldy design
  • Slow fingerprint scanner
  • Very slippery
  • A lot more expensive than the Pixel 6
  • Fit and finish not as nice as other phones in this price range

It’s Not All Smooth Sailing

As you can see from the bad stuff listed above, these phones are not perfect. While using them, you’re going to put a case on either phone and cover up any of the rough edges.

Both phones are capital-L Large and their smooth glass backs are extremely slippery. You have more chances of sliding them off your desk, wireless chargers, sofa arms, tables, lap, you name it.

There are Google’s translucent recycled plastic cases to hood them. But according to The Verge’s tests, those plastic cases are horrible. They recommend checking out third-party options.

We are here to offer you holsters that are made with premium leather and nylon, not some cheap plastic. As an American manufacturer, we pride ourselves in providing our customers with protective carrying case solutions that are built to last!
