    Best...

This is the best company I have ever worked with. They bent over backwards to help me get the right phone cover. Would never hesitate to order again and again any time I need anything. Great experience

Leather holster, metal belt clip for Kyocera DuraXV flip phone

I would've rated it 5 stars because this case is almost perfect, except for one feature / product improvement (which I'll explain here): Dust particles are able to easily get inside the clear window that covers the outside screen on the Kyocera DuraXV phone. To prevent this I'd suggest an approx 3/16" band of closed-cell, soft durometer, oil, chemical and water resistant foam be added either all around the clear window that covers the outside LCD display, or perhaps just from left-to-right (edge-to-edge) along the narrow strip of leather that separates the clear outside window from the elongated hole above it that exposes the camera lens and LED flash/ flashlight... because that is where the dust is able to get through. REVIEW: This leather case is sized properly for a glove-like fit (i.e., it takes some effort and significant force to carefully push the phone into the durably thick and new (somewhat stiff) leather case in a way that won't damage the phone; but once the phone is pushed in all the way there are no loose or ill-fitting areas). The strap with the snap that goes between the top cover and the body cover does interfere with the camera lens when the flip is open, but that is easily addressed by simply holding the strap down and out of the way with an index finger while taking the picture. The METAL clip is very rugged (won't break under stress like the plastic clips tend to). The phone can be withdrawn from the metal belt clip only by twisting it around so that the phone is oriented upside down (this prevents accidental loss of the phone, but after some practice it isn't that much of an impediment to being able to get the phone away from the clip with one hand). Might be a good idea to include some kind of user instruction about this inside the package. The metal stud or tang on the back of the phone case has a series of somewhat rounded 'gear like' teeth around its perimeter, and this provides a 'click stop' ratcheting action to position the phone in various orientations (with the exception of upside down, which is the orientation that allows the phone to be pulled straight upward to release it from the belt clip). NOTE; all the openings in the case are properly located to allow access to the various buttons all around the body of the phone as well as the camera and its LED flash / flashlight. The only exception -- which I think was unavoidable -- is a web of material that covers the Red PTT (push-to-talk) button located about midway up the left side of the phone body. This probably should be called out by the manufacturer (TurtleBack Case) ... in the event prospective purchasers want to use the PTT feature (and pay the extra monthly charge to Verizon to do so). Additionally, TurtleBack should point out the 'ratcheting' feature included on their metal belt clips (it's not found only on the 'executive' case with the black plastic belt clip). Comments: Although the Kyocera DuraXV phone is ruggedized to 'Military' specs, I did drop it one time and caused some gouges in the metal bezel that encircles the camera lens. Glad it didn't scratch the lens! As soon as that occurred, I decided to buy a quality case that would provide some extra protective material (and distance) between the camera lens and the floor should I ever drop the phone again. I believe that I have purchased such QUALITY in this TurtleBack Case! And I'm also pleased that it is Made in the USA because I think that will mean top quality leather and rot-resistant thread that's well sewn so it won't unravel with hard use. The sewn edges (piping) all around the edges on both the top and bottom parts of the case do make it easier to keep a secure grip on the phone (which is otherwise 'slippery'; in my view, Kyocera needs to work on improving that, using 'rubbery' materials or more textured surfaces like those what's used on knife handles). In Summary: I think VERIZON should sell the three TURTLEBACK cases that fit their Kyocera DuraXV+ flip phones, and not mess around with any other (inferior) products. After all, a MIL-Spec ruggedized phone should be equipped with a matching rugged case!
