A detachable J clip is kinda useless. Why would you rotate the entire holster upward to detach it from the clip when you can simply pull the clip off your belt? The clip should surround the belt so it can't accidently pull off. Then the rotate feature would have merit. My J clip has come off several times getting into the car. The bottom of the holster hit the seat belt clasp and pushed right off my belt without me knowing. Luckily I later found my phone between the seat and console. The quality of the unit is fine...just not well thought out.
I ordered this clip for my Turtleback case because the regular slide-on clip kept pulling off my belt when I got out of the car or got snagged in a coat. This J-clip hooks under the belt and will not pull off. Very pleased.
